Citywide CPR provides each student with the following: Instructor Candidate Application Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Essentials Online Course Item: 15-1420 Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Manual Item: 15-1009 Course Format and Exam Part 1 – Complete the BLS Instructor Essentials Online course: approximately 1.50 hours. Candidates who successfully complete the course receive access to a printable certificate granting them entrance to the hands-on, faculty-led session. Part 2 – Complete the in-person Classroom Course with our BLS Training Center Faculty. This includes hands on evaluation of skills, general knowledge, administration, rules and requirements. This requirement must be completed within 90 Calendar days from date of completion of Online Essentials course. Part 3 – Successfully be monitored teaching a course within 6 months of completing the In Person Classroom portion of the Instructor Essentials Course.
